An exhibition, public programming, and ongoing archival project unveiling unexpected lessons about healthcare for the unhoused that emerged from LA County-run quarantine sites during the Covid crisis. An exhibition by the Los Angeles Poverty Department in collaboration with Dr. Jen Sudarsky, with Clancey Cornell contributing to curation, research, archival interviews, public programming, and panel moderation.

Walk the Talk Online Archive

Clancey supports the Los Angeles Poverty Department in management of their online repository of interviews and performances which highlight individuals who live and work in Skid Row and have made lasting impact on neighborhood. The online archive is powered by Reduct and designed by Rob Ochshorn.

Currently the project provides storage support for Studio 526 artists + artwork from Rory White's collection of Skid Row artist work going back to 1999-2000.

Skid Row History Museum and Archive

Archivist, Archival Projects

A community archive that traces the dynamic history of Skid Row, L.A. through the voices of those who live and work there. The museum/archive is a project of the Los Angeles Poverty Department.

Walk the Talk Digital Archive – contains interviews of people who live and work in Skid Row and who have made it a place for solving the problems that other people have given up on.

Since 2020, we have invited community members, allies, academics, scholars, and activists to insert their voice into the archive by creating a video response.

Online archive is a long term project created with Reduct Video and Rob Ocshorn - L.A. Downtown News 2020.

Justice Workshops 2020

Workshop Development and Facilitation 

A Girl’s Voices Now workshop for high-school girls about environmental justice and community artivism held at the Skid Row History Museum in partnership with Amreen Karmali. Mixing film, art and activism, participants created pieces exploring the topic of environmental justice.

Creative Workshop at
the Midnight Mission 2018

Workshop Development and Facilitation 

An eight-week artistic workshop exploring poetry, film, and self-expression held with women in the Crisis and Bridge Program at the Midnight Mission. Participants created visual artworks, some of which were displayed in the City Hall in Shifting Narratives: The Strength of Women Survivors, an exhibit curated by the Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women in March 2019.

Executive Manager 2016 - 2018

Clancey worked as the Executive Manager of Brasil Brasil Cultural Center from 2016-2018. During the time of her involvement, she helped launch the Peaceful Warriors Initiative, a series of programs dedicated to creating space to have conversations about diversity and arts education.
